About the HSV to HSL Converter
HSV (hue, saturation, value — also called HSB) is the model behind the color pickers in Photoshop, Figma and most design apps. Frequently asked questions
Why do some conversions lose a tiny bit of precision?
HEX and RGB use whole numbers from 0–255, while HSL, HSV and CMYK use percentages. Converting between them rounds to the nearest whole value, so a round trip can differ by one unit — invisible to the eye.
Is CMYK here the same as my printer’s CMYK?
This is the standard device-independent formula. Professional print work uses ICC color profiles (such as FOGRA or SWOP) that account for ink and paper, so treat these values as a starting point and proof on the real press.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing you type, paste or open is sent to a server, logged or stored. The tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
