How the conversion works
Stylus is first compiled to plain CSS with a Stylus-to-SCSS translation and the Dart Sass compiler (the common Stylus syntax is supported; mixins, functions and conditionals are not), which resolves variables, mixins, functions and nesting. The CSS is then rebuilt as nested LESS: rules that share a selector prefix are grouped, pseudo-classes become &:hover-style children, and media queries stay as blocks.
Because the Stylus is compiled first, variables and mixins are resolved to their final values in the LESS output.

Are Stylus variables kept?
They are resolved to plain values during compilation, so the LESS output is equivalent but uses literal values.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The compilers run in your browser as JavaScript/WebAssembly.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing you paste or open is sent to a server, logged or stored. The tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
