How the conversion works
LESS is first compiled to plain CSS with the official LESS compiler, which resolves variables, mixins, functions and nesting. The CSS is then rebuilt as nested SASS: rules that share a selector prefix are grouped, pseudo-classes become &:hover-style children, and media queries stay as blocks.
Because the LESS is compiled first, variables and mixins are resolved to their final values in the SASS output.

Are LESS variables kept?
They are resolved to plain values during compilation, so the SASS output is equivalent but uses literal values.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The compilers run in your browser as JavaScript/WebAssembly.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing you paste or open is sent to a server, logged or stored. The tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
